LP Senatorial Candidate Teacher Neric Acosta to COMELEC: Wake up! Act on Disqualification Case Against Manny Villar

I filed the case along with my fellow candidate Martin Bautista on April 8. Up until now, we have not heard anything from them yet.” Liberal Party Senatorial candidate Teacher Neric Acosta bemoans the Commission on Elections’ inaction over the petition he has filed to disqualify Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Manny Villar.

“I understand that the COMELEC is busy with election preparations but, I am very disappointed that they have not acted on a matter as pressing as this.”

Vote buying a violation of election laws

“I seriously think that the petition has merit. I reiterate I filed this disqualification case out of a sense of duty towards our fellow Filipinos. Our countrymen deserve nothing but the best. Acosta expounds that he filed the petition in hispersonal capacity and the petition has nothing to do with his candidacy.

Ikui8u

“According to reports on February 28, quoting Elections Commissioner Rene Sarmiento that, ‘’Under Section 261 of the Omnibus Election Code, the prohibited acts include giving money or anything of value to favor one candidate. It is called vote buying.’’ Furthermore, Commissioner Sarmiento said that this prohibition applies to everyone [including kids]. The COMELEC said that a petition only needs to be filed so that they can look into the allegations of vote-buying. I have done my part. I filed the case. Now the COMELEC ought to do theirs,” Acosta challenges the COMELEC to act on the petition with a sense of urgency.

Votes ought to be incorruptible

Acosta strongly believes that it is every Filipino’s right to be well-informed of the choices that they have, in terms of whom to vote for as President.

“Itutuloy  ko ang labang ito! Titiyakin kong bibigyang-pansin ito ng COMELEC.” Acosta vows to fight for his petition until the COMELEC issues a resolution

LP Senatorial Candidate Teacher Neric Acosta Challenges Villar: BE A MAN! SUBJECT YOURSELF TO LIE DETECTOR TEST

Liberal Party Senatorial candidate Teacher Neric Acosta is exasperated over Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Manny Villar’s denials on issues he is currently facing.

Acosta expresses disgust over another miserable attempt of NP to discredit the integrity and mental fitness of Noynoy Aquino.

Denials Not a Defense to the Accusations

Acosta recalls that previously he has dared Villar to undergo a lie-detector test to finally determine the truths behind the statements being manufactured by Villar’s camp, but this challenge has been ignored.

If Senator Manny Villar fails the lie-detector test, it is only right that he withdraw immediately from the presidential race. If, on the other hand, Sen. Manny Villar passes the lie-detector test, I am willing to withdraw from the senatorial race.  This has never been about politics. Acosta explains that Villar’s camp has continuously propagated lies to further his own personal interests. Such lies has been poisoning the minds of the voting public, which could impair their judgments come the May 10 election.

A Fish is Caught by Its Own Mouth

“Manny Villar really has no one else to blame for all that he is facing right now. All the untruths came from him in the first place. Acosta expounds that precisely because of Villar’s own claims, people with inquiring minds sought to find out the truth. They did, and it resulted to discoveries which Villar keeps on discrediting as untruths or black propaganda against him.

Be a Man, Take the Cudgels for Your Actions

Acosta says that Villar has resorted to all means possible in order to gain leverage over Noynoy Aquino. Acosta explains that some questions received by the 86-year-old Ms. Curing Villar from journalists present during the press conference held recently, drove her to tears and caused her anxiety.

Acosta explains that the latest attack of Villar to Noynoy—stating that a mental health report of Noynoy was given to them by a supporter—is a clear sign of desperation from a man grasping at straws because he knows that victory is out of his reach.

“From the very beginning, Villar has constantly showed an inability to grasp reality and has a penchant for distorting the truth. I think he really ought to undergo a lie detector test, to determine whether he is still in touch with reality. He truly owes it to the Filipino people to be accountable for all the lies and deception he has been spreading since the start of the campaign.  If he cannot take my challenge like a man, this Manny Villar with his dagat ng basura and tunay na mahirap lies does not have the slightest right to seek the highest position in the land.” Acosta concludes.

LP Mindanaoan Senatorial bet ‘Teacher’ Neric Acosta condemns meeting of NP Senatorial bet Remulla and Andal Ampatuan Sr.

Acosta, a three-term congressman of Bukidnon, exclaimed over Nacionalista Party Senatorial bet Gilbert Remulla’s admission of a meeting with Andal Ampatuan Sr.

Gilbert Remulla, the NP spokesperson, who according to reports admitted he visited Ampatuan in April when he was confined in a military hospital in Davao City.

 Adding insult to injury

“That act, as simple as it may look, rubbed salt to the wounds not only of the relatives and loved ones of the victims of the Maguindanao massacre, but to the whole Filipino citizenry as well,” Acosta exclaimed. Acosta stressed the negative impact of such special treatment to the Ampatuans in the perception of justice in our country.

Acosta believes that peace in Mindanao will finally be realized by the three D’s—disarmament, dialogue and development.

“Even after such a heinous deed, why do these people remain in their seats of power and are even sought for political advancements? This is a clear evidence of how corrupt and fraudulent our electoral system can get!” Acosta said.

Deadly Alliance

“If it is true that NP and the Ampatuans are brewing up an alliance to advance each other’s interests, this then will be the most deadly alliance ever in the history of Philippine politics.”

“They seem to have the three G’s that would kill and overthrow democracy—guns, goons and gold plus another G that solidifies all of their malevolent plans, Gloria. If that is the kind of ‘leadership’ that will take post this May 10, paniguradong papatayin nila at ‘ibaback hoe’ ang demokrasya dito sa ating bansa,” Acosta warned.
